Snohomish

Yesterday my sister had a day off, so she decided to visit me at work. It was such a nice day and we headed into downtown Snohomish to have lunch at a place on Main street called The Snohomish Pie Company.

I discovered it a few years ago when Becky used to work for us and we would go to lunch a few times a week. The Snohomish Pie Company is locally owned and has been for the past 25 years. It is the cutest place that has hand painted walls and daily made pies. The lunch special every day is 1/2 sandwich, a cup of soup and a slice of pie for $7.95. They make the bread daily and also feature 2 different kinds of soup each day. They have several kinds of fresh baked cookies and they are always sitting in the window to tempt the antique shoppers.

Becky and I liked the place so much that I decided to have her baby shower there in a few weeks. They have a nice room downstairs that is decorated super cute and it is the perfect place for a small get together. I booked it yesterday and I am so excited for the shower.

I really realized yesterday how much I love Snohomish. It is the type of town I like to visit when I am on vacation. The kind of place that still has that small-town charm, with friendly people, bike riders, music playing and several little shops to visit. Snohomish is known for the antique shops and is always busy with shoppers looking to add to their collections.

My favorite shop on Main Street is called Joyworks. It is a huge, 2 level store, that is filled with so many cute and unique things. They have trinkets and housewares for just about any theme you could think of, not to mention.. clothes & purses, children's clothes, cards, candles and much more. Definitely worth a trip to Snohomish in itself :)

Other places I love to visit:

Inside Out, a trendy boutique filled with beautiful things.

The Cabbage Patch restaurant is a family favorite and you must try their cabbage patch soup!

The Speckled Hen, a country decor store right next to the pie company.

If you get the chance to visit Snohomish, please do, you won't be disappointed!

Becky, many many moons ago, my husband and I created the decor downstairs at the Snohomsih Pie Company. I am so happy to read your comment about how cute it is! I've always liked it. We created it in 1998 for Pam Mack, who founded the business in 1995.
